VIJAI PARWANI has over a decade of practice experience. He started his law practice with a boutique law firm specialising in freight forwarding matters and general commercial litigation. In 1994, he joined a mid-sized firm where his principal areas of practice focussed on commercial litigation, personal and corporate insolvency, management corporation matters, property transactions, leasing, financing and hire-purchase transactions, employment and labour issues, and corporate transactional and advisory matters. Vijai's practice has seen him gain considerable experience in each of these areas.

In 2001, he started the firm of Parwani & Co.

Books

• Vijai authored the 'Agency' chapter of the Halsbury's Laws Of Singapore published in 2001. The Halsbury's Laws of Singapore is the authoritative collection of all laws in Singapore as commissioned by the Honourable, the Chief Justice of Singapore.
• He is currently authoring the Malaysian equivalent of the 'Agency' chapter of the Halbury's Laws of Malaysia which is scheduled to be published in 2004.
• Vijai is also working on a book touching on Debt Recovery for the Layman to be published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2004.

Regular Contributions

• Vijai contributes regularly to the Personal Investment column of the Sunday Times as well as to several other publications.
